Ford Ranger & Toyota Hilux Factory Alarm PIR Sensor Upgrade

If you have a Ford Ranger or Toyota Hilux with a factory alarm system you can now add motion detection to the canopy with the OEM PIR sensor. This sensor connects into the vehicle’s factory alarm system for a cost effective upgrade. PIR sensors are an excellent addition for protecting the rear canopy, particularly if you carry tools or gear in the back of the vehicle. A normal alarm sensor (such as a shock sensor) is not able to adequately cover large vehicles, especially in the rear cargo areas. In comparison a PIR sensor uses infrared to detect body heat and movement. OEM PIR sensors have a unique four element design which makes them stable in the variable heat conditions inside a vehicle. A standard home PIR sensor fitted into a vehicle can be prone to false triggers.
